Villagers of Khanewa, Mitaura, Angrora, Chatauni,  Davandipur, Para and Ataura are facing difficulty in obtaining foodgrain and oil at fair price because there is no fair price shop in this area which falls under the  Rampur-Mathura Vikas Khand.  Unhappy at the situation, court inspector PL Rawat says that there is a move to hold a meeting on the subject at which a resolution will be passed for the appointment of fair price dealer.

The Gram Rozgar Sevak Association will hold a demonstration in front of the district magistrate’s office on January 1. The protest, according to the association president Santosh Kumar Shukla, is to demand regularization and an increase in wages. The protest will start at 10 a.m. The protestors will hand over a memorandum to the District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar.

A tubectomy camp will be held at the government hospital in Rampur-Mathura on December 29. Asha Bahu Shiela Devi says the tubectomy will be done using laproscopy. The women can also visit the camp to abort unwanted children. The tubectomy will be performed free of cost.

Virendra Pratap Singh, M.Sc (Botany), says that this year the potato crop is likely to be affected by Jhulsa because of excessive cold and mist. The farmers should use Radiomin and Titanium 45 to save the potato crop from the bitter cold that leads to the twisting of leaves. They should also water the crop regularly.

District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar has asked voters to vote freely in the upcoming Vidhan Parishad election scheduled for January 7, 2010. The DM has also asked political parties not to influence or pressure voters. The voting will be held from 7 am to 4 pm.

The Mandal-level board exams for Class V and Class VIII conducted by Basic Shiksha Parishad will not be held from this session. This was communicated at a meeting chaired by Secretary Basic Education Anup Chandra Pandey. The schools will now be required to hold home exams for these classes.

The President of Bhrashtachar Virodhi Sangarsh Samiti has asked the District Magistrate to sanction pension only to eligible men and women under the Indira Gandhi Pension Yojana. The pension should be given after verification by  Kshetriya Lekhpal  and not on the basis of APL or BPL cards. Bank accounts should be opened in the name of these men and women and the pension transferred into these accounts.

District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar has ordered the appointment of Satya Prakash as gram pradhan of Kishnapur gram panchayat in Mahmoddabad Vikas Khand. The appointment is  on an ad hoc basis, and till such time when a new gram pradhan is elected. The order has been issued following the death of the Kishnapur Gram Pradhan Shrimati Satana Devi on October 7, 2009.

The Kisan Cooperative Sugar mill has forwarded payments for cane purchased till December 10 to the bank accounts of farmers. Giving this information, Chief Manager KN Singh said the payment has been made at a price of Rs 200 per quintal as per the orders of the district officials. The payment for the period till December 15 will be made soon.
