The Food and Civil Supplies Department had decided to provide an extra 3 kg of wheat to all families living below the poverty line on the occasion of Holi. However, the extra wheat will now be distributed next month, the department has informed.

A neurosurgery camp has been organised at the Zilla Panchayat Mahmoodabad Guest house on February 21. The camp will held from 10 am to 12 noon. Dr Parmatma Maurya, neurosurgeon, will provide free consultancy to patients. Patients, however, will be required to pay registration fee of Rs 25.

A family planning camp has been organised at the Rampur-Mathura hospital on February 23. According to Aasha Bahu Shiela Devi tubectomy operations will be performed at the camp free of cost. The operations will be conducted using the laparaoscopy method, and the patients can return home soon after the operation. The camp can also be used by women seeking abortions.
