The UP Board has decided to lower the number of Maths and Hindi examination papers in Class Twelve from three to two from the 2012 session. A resolution to this effect was passed at the January 2010 meeting of the Board’s Examination Committee, according to Gautam Babu, who works in the DIOS office in Sitapur.

DIOS Ashok Kumar has informed that the UP Board has introduced the grading system in the conduct of practical exams of Class X . All students will be required to obtain Grade B to clear Class X. A training camp is being organised for school principals, the DIOS informed.

A team of 19 members has been constituted to assess the work done by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in the financial year 2009-10. The team will inspect five gram panchyats in each block and submit the report to the government by January 31. Mr K K Dixit will carry out the inspection in Rampur-Mathura village.
